Spring Show May 2015
The May 20th meeting was the annual Spring Show, as well as a demonstration on planter preparation by Wanda Mitkiewiecz. Below are pictures from the show. Click any image to open a fullsize version. Many thanks to Kirk Lee Foon for photographing the show.

The azaleas were especially lovely, winning Erika Hofmann all three prizes with her entries.
In other flowering shrubs, Christina Duvander won 1st, and Ailsa Lee Loy took 2nd and 3rd prize.
Doreen Murphy won 1st for primulas, Christina Duvander won 2nd, and Ailsa Lee Loy won 3rd.
Erika Hofmann won first in small unlisted flowers. Doreen Murphy won 2nd, and Ailsa Lee Loy won 3rd.
Honorable Mention for Erika Hofmann for this small bloom.
For large unlisted flowers, Aileen Dyer won 1st and 3rd. Olive Balderson won 2nd prize.
Ailsa Lee Loy's charming small arrangement for the theme "Let the sun shine in" won first prize.
Second prize for Sabrina Alfonso for the theme "Let the sun shine in".
Ailsa Lee Loy won first prize and "Best in Show" with a horizontal and abstract design for the theme "Nature's Awakening".

The annual plant sale took place on a lovely Saturday in May as well.
