Mary Jane de Koos's Garden (look ma, no alliums)

This yard needs mowing, weeding and dead heading.

View towards the rock garden.

This Betty Risdan clematis show is just past its prime.

Also with this clump of hyacinthoides.
The white flowering bush is potentilla 'Abbottswood'

Along the side of the garage, the path leads past
highbush cranberry on the right,

and a tiarella 'Candy Striper' on the left,
to the compost box.

Another detail of the side garden.

Let's bypass the compost and have a look
at the small bed behind the garage.

Still on the garage; you must admit it needs dressing up.

Iris and heuchera.

This is siculum. In bloom it hangs down;
going to seed, it points up.

Wanda in front of the spirea 'bridal wreath'.

Can anyone tell me why this lilac
is so naked of leaves?.

If you don't remember seeing this clematis
purpura recta like this, it's because I cheated
and took this almost two weeks later so
you could see it in bloom. (Sorry I don't
provide this service to other gardens.)

The crowd enjoying pot luck afternoon tea.
The end of a successful garden tour.
